The Beginning

The Kavalani Family roots in Bahrain date way back to the early 1800 , when Mr.Kavalmal Kavalani came to Bahrain from India to start his Trading Business in Pearls, at that time Bahrain was known as the Pearl of the Gulf. Three Generations later the Business changed from trading in Pearls to Food stuffs like Dates and Tea which was started by Mr. Narsingdas Purshotamdas.

In the late 50s Bahrain  witnessed a huge Oil boom and in that period of year 1955 Kavalani & Sons was started by Mr.Tolaram Narsingdas & Mr. Chandrasen Narsingdas the Great Grandsons of Mr. Kavalani, keeping the same name of their ancestor who first came to Bahrain.

The Company first started Dealing in automobile spares imported from USA and EUROPE, and were keeping all top brands at that time like FORD, BUICK, BOSCH, CHEVE & CADILLAC. In the early sixties the company changed its focus into Industrial consumables, Hardware & Building Materials.

The Growth Years

From a small shop in Manama the company started catering to all Industries, Construction sector, Govt Departments & Ship Chandlling. The company’s product line grew to almost 30,000 different items all catering to the demands of its customers.

The concept of ONE STOP SHOP was first given to KAVALANI, Customers still say if its not available anywhere in Bahrain it should be available at KAVALANI’s.The company has enjoyed the best reputation & goodwill for its Customer Satisfaction and Products. The main showroom, offices and Warehouses are all located in the Sitra Industrial Area where the company has a large showroom for all its products where Customers come and choose from a wide variety of items. The management and its employees are totally dedicated to the Growth and customer support of the company.

The company has now diversified into different divisions like Power Tools, Hand Tools, Building Materials, Electrical, HVAC Spares, Safety Equipment, Chemicals, Fittings, Packing & Jointing Equipment, Cleaning Equipment, Welding Consumables, Belting, Fastners, Lifting Equipment, Garage Equipment, Bars, Sheets and Instrumentation, Hoses, Pneumatic Tools, Ropes, Shelving, Strappings, Tapes & Adhesives.
